• Denisa L When our original pediatrician whom we’d chosen for our son, turned into a resident clinic, I was stuck feeling as if I was a broken record and my son wasn’t getting the personalized care that an infant requires. After weeks of searching; asking for recommendations from other parents, reading reviews, and even asking on social media! Until a family member who’s a PA in our network asked her colleagues for a recommendation. Dr. Zahari came highly recommended from other medical professionals; making my new mom concerns fade. We started seeing Dr. Zahari and the care he and the rest of the staff provide is unmatched. A typical well visit, consists of my son getting smothered in love and attention by all the staff, followed by our appointment and a quick catch up with the doctor on milestones, vaccines needed, things to expect next and tips on how to best assist your baby in meeting the next milestones. Dr. Zahari truly listens, and takes the initiative to explain, and reassure. It’s a fantastic feeling knowing we have an amazing doctor, who works with you to customize your child’s care to their needs and speaks in a way that leaves you feeling educated, comfortable and confident in their abilities as a medical professional.

As healthcare professionals, we felt our concerns were always heard and addressed. Making appointments is always easy, and sick visit appointments are have been accommodated quickly. My experience with the providers that we have seen is they are parents first, physicians second. As a parent, I appreciate that more than anything. Thank you for always giving us your undivided attention.

• Angela F We have been patients since my kids were born. I have a 10yr old daughter, who was diagnosed with Leukemia by Dr. V in 2017, and a 9yr old son. My daughter is doing amazingly well! Cancer FREE!! The entire office is great, and we have seen most doctors. The supporting staff is also wonderful. I 100% recommend this office! They are like family!!

He has struggled with asthma amongst other issues and they have always gotten us in and ensured that he was on the right track to getting better and staying out of the hospital. • Kimberly S Dr. Ventimiglia and the whole staff at Shelby Pediatric are absolutely amazing! They are as nice as can be and have been able to fit my son in for same day appointments when we have needed it. My son had severe anxiety when going to the doctor’s office but not since we began going to Dr. Ventimiglia…he’s simply the best! Side note: they are not “pushy” in any areas of medical treatment and listen to the wishes of the parents.

• Samantha Dr Gideon was amazing to us. He is friendly and professional and incredible knowledgeable. We had a panicked moment as new parents and were able to talk to him with the after hours number and he was able to calm us and help us understand what was happening and how to help the baby. During appointments he is on top of any questions and gives us advice for things we don’t even think about. He’s fantastic in every way, the staff is always friendly and helpful, we could not be happier with choosing this group.

Everyone we saw from the receptionist to the medical assistant. We’re very nice helpful and educated. The office is clean updated I really appreciate them Handing me extra paperwork, including my daughter’s vaccination record, and any extra helpful forms for her age group. We came from an office that I feel was disorganized never offered same day sick appointments and it really frustrated me. So I’m very pleased so far with this new office and the staff! Thanks everyone!

The receptionist was so kind and welcoming. The nurse that brought us back was very patient and super kind to my daughter and I. We saw NP Sara and she was very nice and informative. I dreaded calling our old pediatrician to make an appointment for my kids. I can’t recommend Shelby pediatrics enough. Wish we saw them from the beginning

• Ava I would say my pediatrician before this one, we loved the doctor, the office however was always so busy and we were always running into issues of scheduling last minute health checks with our son. Now that we have 2 babies, we decided to take them to a new place. We found out about Shelby and decided to go there. We met Dr Yulo, and have never gone anywhere else. Our kids love their pediatric doctor. Dr Yulo is amazing with kids. She’s also very patient and over explains so that we could understand baby anatomy. We are truly blessed to have found her. I would definitely recommend her as a pediatric doctor.

• Tiffany W Dr. Miller is the kindest woman and makes you feel seen and heard both as a parent and patient. I can’t begin to express the difficulties we had with a previous pediatrician. I was probably more skeptical than ever about a new doctor because of past troubles. By the end of the appt I felt acknowledged, time was spent truly listening, we were given multiple options as well as EDUCATED on what the challenge is and how to overcome it, and we weren’t dismissed until we UNDERSTOOD the problem. I am shocked this kind a doctor still exists 😇 and I’m forevevr grateful to her for hearing us!

I had heard good things about this practice through word of mouth and decided to book my daughter’s newborn appointment here. We were seen by Dr. Gideon. He was exceptional, answered all of our questions and was very informative, especially for being a first time parent. He is very personable, relatable, and most importantly professional. We were very impressed with our first visit that we have continued to see Dr. Gideon since and are very pleased with his care! Highly recommend him.

• Danielle M We have been coming here for almost 9 years. They can always get you in for a sick appointment. I’ve literally called 1 hour before closing and they have gotten my child in. The doctors are great and the NPs are wonderful. Especially Jessica and Jaclyn! Fast response on messaging via the portal as well. Will also work with you on a “delayed” vaccine schedule if you don’t want them all in one visit.

• Natalie Been going to Shelby peds for 10yrs. We love doctor Ventimiglia. He treats us like family. Also the front desk staff along with the other doctors and P.A’s in the office are great with my kids. They treat them so well! If my kids are sick and couldn’t meet with doctor V for same day visit they always accommodate to give me another Doc or PA. If I don’t think it’s an emergency and just need advice about what my kids have if it’s a virus and what not I would use the portal to communicate with the doctor. It’s easy and fast.

I have four boys—ages 13, 10, 2, and 7 months—and we always schedule our well checks with him. My 13-year-old trusts Dr. Zahari completely and feels comfortable discussing any concerns with him. All of my kids enjoy their visits because he takes the time to talk with them and make them feel at ease. I truly appreciate the time he spends not only with my children, but also with me—ensuring I understand and am comfortable with the plan of care, and giving me the opportunity to ask any questions I may have.

I gave birth to my first child on 8/7 and was seen at the office on 8/9. They are unbelievably accommodating. Imagine all the questions you have as first time parents. Dr. Nyakundi answered every question, provided reassurance, and made us feel normal in the midst of so much change and adjustment. He covered every topic we wondered about, and normalized our concerns. I’ve only had one appointment thus far for our baby, but I can’t imagine it going any better than it did.
